What is a Body Activist?

 

(Body): the physical structure of a human person or an animal; something to not be ashamed of or judged by

(Activist): a person who campaigns to bring about political or social change; someone who actually wants chance to occur and will back that desire up with action

 

The term “Body Activist” has been used in the past decade to describe body image activists, advocates for eating disorder recovery, and similar people!

The Body Activists, LLC, define a Body Activist as anyone who is doing work to destigmitize conversations around bodies and actively elevating those who have been discriminated against based on their bodies.
